What a joke. What a gimmick. What a sell out. Robert Van Winkle was created. He was just a pop puppet and he deserves everything he gets. He wrote one song (and that beat was allegedly borrowed from someone with real talent) that was more catchy than quality, that was just an extended jingle for the radio. He made up a troubled childhood. He made up that he was in gangs as well as a bunch of other stuff to make him sound tough. And then there was tramline haircut and stupid pants, and let’s not talk about the eyebrow. This pretty boy dancer (and his management) took us all for a ride and laughed all the way to a big place in West Palm Beach.
